Ultramid® (BASF trade name) is a polyamide made from e.g. PA6, PA66 or various copolyamides such as PA66/6.
Ultramid® is characterized by high mechanical strength, rigidity and thermal resistance. Ultramid® has good toughness even at low temperatures and it can be processed without any problems.
Ultramid® is mainly available unreinforced, toughened, reinforced with glass fibers or minerals.

Due to its diverse properties, Ultramid® can be used very well in all areas of technology for any components and elements, but also as an electrical insulating material. The most common areas of application include the automotive industry, electrical and household appliance technology, industrial switchgear and construction and installation technology.
